Dear Clan Members,
It has been a while since you last heard from us. And believe us, we haven't been sitting still! There is plenty happening at our distillery again, and we have plenty to tell you.
So, a small 'warning' in advance: this newsletter has turned out to be a bit longer. Pour yourself a nice cup of coffee, grab a glass of whisky, and take a moment to read it. We look forward to updating you on our new whiskies, upcoming activities, and exciting developments.
Erik and Friso are passionately distilling and developing our whiskies. Meanwhile, Rita ensures that our story reaches more and more people. Everyone has their own role, but shares the same goal: to create something special that we can all be proud of.
And do you know what we find so wonderful about that? That you, as Clan Members, are a part of it. Your involvement and enthusiasm mean a lot to us. Thank you very much for that.
Clan Member Day: Saturday, November 21
We look forward to welcoming you back. On Saturday, November 21, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, we will make it a fun afternoon and evening together.
This time, we are joined by Henrie Goossen, The Whisky Teacher from Almelo, who will provide entertainment and wonderful whisky stories. Naturally, our Burgundian barbecue will also be on the menu. Our BBQ master Paul is ready once again to put something delicious on the table.
And we have something else fun in store: you will be the first to taste our two newest whiskies. Erik and Friso would love to tell you more about their origins and distillation. And Rita? She is particularly curious about your reactions. We are just as eager to hear your opinion, because we consider it just as important.
Feel free to bring a guest. Guests are very welcome! For you as Clan Members, admission to the Clan Member Day is free; for a guest, the contribution is €75 per person.

Vino de Naranja: Our new whisky has entered the world
Some of you were able to taste our Vino de Naranja early on, and perhaps there is a bottle at home by now. We think that is wonderful.
Since October 10, this special whisky has been officially introduced at the liquor stores participating in our campaign. A great deal of work goes into such an introduction. While Erik and Friso focus on the whiskies, Rita ensures that our story gets out there. Through a campaign via our social media channels, among other things, we have been working towards the launch over the past few weeks.
Launching a new whisky remains exciting. You know firsthand how much attention, time, and craftsmanship go into it, and naturally, we want other whisky lovers to discover that too.
Don't have it yet? We have set aside a number of bottles especially for Clan Members. Would you like to reserve a Vino de Naranja? Then send a message to proeflokaal@distilleerderijdebronckhorst.nl. We will reserve the bottle for you and then send you an invoice.
We will hold your reservation for a maximum of four weeks. This gives you plenty of time to arrange your bottle, but also allows us to give other enthusiasts the chance to purchase this special whisky afterwards. And you can be sure you won't miss out on it.
A special evening for rum lovers
Last year, we enjoyed a wonderful rum tasting together featuring exceptional rums from Eric Koster of Schotman Rum. It literally left us wanting more. That is why we are organizing another special evening this year. This time, Eric Koster and René van Hoven are joining forces.
Eric presents his newest rums and René takes you on a journey through time with three very exceptional, aged rums. An evening full of unique flavors, wonderful stories, and surprising discoveries. Whether you are a true rum connoisseur or simply curious about special drinks, you are most welcome. The number of spots is limited to a maximum of 30 people, so once it's full, it's full.

Our whisky is increasingly finding its way to liquor stores.
Just before the summer holidays, we took our first steps towards liquor stores. A new world, with new contacts and challenges.
We still sometimes hear that Dutch whisky is not always perceived as special or tasty. But as soon as we tell our story and let people taste our whisky, we regularly see surprised faces. How can a relatively young whisky taste so full, round, and complex? That has everything to do with our special ancient grains, but also with the craftsmanship of Erik and Friso. As Master Distillers, they work with great knowledge, attention, and passion on whiskies with their own character.
We don't want to make a whisky that looks like every other. We want to make something that suits us and in which you can taste our story. And it is wonderful to see that increasingly
more liquor stores discover that.

Perhaps these are liquor stores familiar to you. We deliberately chose a type of store where our whiskies fit well. After our first visits, liquor store owners even called us themselves. A particularly lovely compliment. We are incredibly happy with these collaborations and hope that many more great locations will follow.
And this is where you can help us. Do you know of a liquor store that specializes in whisky and is open to special Dutch whiskies? Please let us know. A name, a tip, or an introduction is very welcome. You know our story and know how much passion goes into our whiskies. A recommendation from someone who already knows us can sometimes make all the difference.

Well, that was a lot of news again. We are proud of the developments at our distillery. New whiskies are on the way, we are meeting new people, and more and more enthusiasts are discovering what makes our ancient grains and our craftsmanship so special. And we prefer to take this journey together with you.
Thank you for your enthusiasm, trust, and involvement. It is special to have people around us who know our story, continue to follow us, and share in our joy.
We hope to see you again on Friday, November 6 at the rum tasting and on Saturday, November 21 during our Clan Member Day.
For now, we wish you wonderful days. Enjoy each other, the little things, and of course, when the moment arrives, a nice glass of whisky.
