Distillery de Bronckhorst – where whisky really begins

Nestled among the meadows and hedgerows of the Achterhoek region, there's no factory, but a farm distillery: Distilleerderij de Bronckhorst. Here, whisky isn't "conceived" in a marketing department, but born on the land. We grow our own grain, do our own distilling, and mature everything on our own property. We call this Single Estate grain whisky. Or, more simply, we control everything ourselves, from grain to dram.
Grain whisky with a story
Most whiskies start somewhere in an anonymous silo. Ours still begins in the field. The grain you taste in your glass literally grows around the distillery. Then we mill, mash, ferment, distill, and mature everything ourselves.
Our Dahomey Grain Whisky is the result: a smooth yet characterful grain whisky, with the depth of fine casks and the story of a single location. No dyes, no tricks... just time, wood, and craftsmanship.
Tasting whisky where it's made
You can of course buy a bottle and pour it at home, but the best way to get to know our work is a whisky tasting at the distillery itself.
During such a whisky tasting at Distilleerderij de Bronckhorst:
walk between the boilers and barrels;
let's see step by step how whisky is made;
taste our different whiskies;
there is plenty of time to ask questions and just relax and enjoy.
Our whisky tastings are small and personal. We prefer a small, attentive group to a busload of whisky. This makes them an ideal outing or gift for a whisky lover looking for something different than the usual names in liquor stores.
Come and experience it yourself
You can read a lot about whisky, but ultimately, you have to taste and see it. Whether you're here for:
a whisky tasting ,
a tour of the distillery,
or a bottle to take home
You are welcome to discover the world of Distilleerderij de Bronckhorst yourself.
Curious about dates, times, and options? Check out our whisky tastings on the website, and we'll get the glasses ready.
