Schotman Single Peated Rum No:1 Chupacabra

This  small release of Schotman Peated Rum has become a true journey of discovery in terms of taste and smell.

On the nose you have very subtle leather, sweet undertones of tropical fruit, roasted nuts and a hint of earthy peat.

In the mouth; first moment sweetness of the rum with all its facets such as tropical fruit, banana, pineapple and liquorice. This bowl of tropical fruit then mixes with the smoky peat with hints of iodine and sea air. These tones alternate in the aftertaste. What a beautiful rollercoaster. After the flavors fade into the background, you are treated to a minty mouthfeel with the taste of the filling of the after Eight chocolate.

Fun tip. Let the glass stand for at least an hour after you have finished your glass. Warm the glass with your hands and a huge floral scent will put a smile on your face.
