Dahomey Grain Whisky Aquavit

Whisky is all about experimenting, blending flavors that create something special. For this edition, we chose a unique cask from the far north – an Aquavit cask. Aquavit is primarily found in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, where this "water of life" has been produced for centuries. After four years and eight months of maturation in this cask, a whisky has emerged that will make your taste buds sing.

At first sip, you'll taste spicy notes, followed by the warm aroma of toasted bread and a hint of citrus. A soft, full grain flavor forms the heart, while earthy notes add depth. Subtle hints of tea, a cool touch of peppermint, the soft licorice of anise, and the characteristic, slightly spicy caraway seed so characteristic of Aquavit unfold.

Herbs – A scent and taste of fresh green herbs, crisp and aromatic.

Toast (toasted bread) – Warm, slightly nutty notes like a freshly baked crust.

Citrus – Light, sparkling notes of orange or lemon peel provide freshness.

Grain – Round, malty notes reminiscent of freshly brewed beer or breakfast cereal.

Earthy notes – A deep, almost woodsy undertone that adds complexity.

Tea – Soft, slightly tannic aromas like those of freshly brewed black or herbal tea.

Peppermint – A cool, refreshing hint of mint that brightens the palate.

Anise (anise) – Sweet, slightly spicy notes with a hint of licorice.

Caraway (Caraway Seed) – Spicy, herbal hints reminiscent of

rye bread and Aquavit itself.
